Our burgee, designed by Irene Liddle, was adopted in 1965. The two stars stand for being the second Power Squadron chartered in Florida. The seven stripes stand for the number of days in each week that we practice safe boating, and the colors are taken from our National Flag.

Boca Ciega Squadron Burgee Heraldry

The shapes on the main portion of the pennant are representative of the land areas surrounding Boca Ciega Bay. The lower is Long Key (St. Pete Bch.), above which is Treasure Island, and above it the lower portion of Sand Key, (Madeira Bch., etc.). The Eastern side of Boca Ciega Bay being bounded by St. Pete., Gulfport, Tierra Verde, etc. The other vertical bars conform to standard USPS pennant practice.
